Our RCR strategy: Rail

Unfortunately, investment in the UK rail infrastructure for the movement of vehicles by train has been sadly lacking for the past 20 years. However, as we have the largest privately owned fleet of rail wagons in Europe, we understand the importance to the environment by moving large numbers of vehicles by this method. We are working with rail wagon design specialists to develop a platform that will enable us to transport vehicles direct from rail linked UK factories to European storage hubs or to import vehicles directly into the UK from manufacturing centres.

We are prepared to invest significantly in rail transport as not only do we see this mode of transport as providing an alternative, cost effective solution not only for vehicle movements the UK but also a means of transferring vehicles from the UK to Mainland Europe and vice versa.

Depending on the requirement, we transport vehicles in double deck, covered or flat wagons which allow us absolute flexibility to move vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Please follow the link to find more information about our rail fleet.
